Some families visit Disneyland or Disney World a few times a year. But if you only get to visit once every couple of years, you may want to invest in splurges that will make your Disney experience extra magical.

1. Try Character Dining

Character dining gives guests unforgettable interactions with their favorite Disney characters. You can dine at Walt Disney World’s Chef Mickey’s, Garden Grill Restaurant, Story Book Dining at Artist Point or Hollywood & Vine. There’s also something similar at Disneyland – Minnie & Friends – Breakfast (Park at Plaza Inn), Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures (Napa Rose) and Goofy’s Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel).

2. Buy Disney Ears

A pair of Disney Ears which you can purchase on their website for $29.99 (its cheapest option) may not be so cheap but nothing says “I love Disney” more than these cute little prop.

3.  Visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

If your child loves to play dress up, then do include the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in your itinerary. The packages may set you back at least a few hundred dollars but if wearing a Disney princess costume is a dream come true for your child, then splurge a little on this royal transformation.

4. Tickets to special events

Every year there are events one must witness in Disney such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party as well as Disney Very Merriest After Hours. Ticket prices are around $99 for kids and $109 for guests 10 years old and up.

5. Disney PhotoPass

Having a Disney PhotoPass means you’ll always have the perfect photos of your Disney visit. Simply link your photos to your Disney account and get unlimited downloads.

6. Attend the Disney Fireworks Dessert Parties

If you’re celebrating a special occasion, you may want to splurge on tickets to the Magic Kingdom 50th Fireworks Dessert Parties: Disney Enchantment Treats & Seats which lets you view the spectacular fireworks at the best spot with some tasty desserts to boot. You get butterscotch pudding, chocolate-dipped strawberries, wine and beer for adults. Admission is $114 for ages 10 and up, and $69 for kids 9 and below.

7. Get A Disney Popcorn Bucket

At Walt Disney World the Disney refillable popcorn bucket is around $13.00 but price can vary depending on how intricate you want it to be. You also get $2.00 refills which makes it well worth the splurge.

8. Attend Early Morning Magic

Walt Disney World’s Early Morning Magic allows you entry into Magic Kingdom at 7:45AM with free breakfast. Of course you need to purchase a separate ticket for the Early Morning Magic but it’s definitely worth it as there are no lines and you don’t have to contend with the heat.

9. Staying At A Deluxe Disney Resort

There are a lot of hotel options in Disney World Resort and the fanciest options are the Deluxe Resorts. You get to choose from nine Deluxe resorts in Disney World and it’s a nice splurge if you have a big budget. Among the options are: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Polynesian Village Resort, Riviera Resort, Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club Resort.

When you stay in a Deluxe resort in Disney World you get the best dining options, the coolest pools, the most comfortable transportation to and from the parks, and the best food.
