8 Useful Theme Park Travel Tips

There is nothing for you to do inside a theme park but to enjoy. But it is not as easy as it seems. You have to follow a number of useful tips so that nothing will spoil your fun. Ignoring these simple tips may cause little problems to crop up which can spoil the fun and enjoyment that you are looking for. Here are some tips that you need to consider:

1.  If you want to save money, don’t buy anything inside a theme park that you can buy outside. Bring along some essentials such as toiletries, medicine, small amount of drinking water (if allowed), and whatever things you may need. Consumer items are very expensive inside the park. If you need to, buy them from a store outside the park.

2. Follow your target theme park on social media. You will be able to learn about the discounts they are giving and the special events that they are holding. This will also save you money, and you will be able to filter the events and only go to those which are of interest to you.

3. Check the maintenance schedule of your target theme park.  This will let you know if the rides and sites that you want to see and experience are available at the time of your visit. It is good to know that theme parks such as Disney World and Busch Gardens are open all year round. They usually don’t have off-season maintenance. What they often do is to select and schedule certain attractions and rides and maintain or repair them at random times of the year.

4. If you want to visit a theme park more than once, it would be better if you could buy a season pass. This kind of ticket is offered by theme parks at certain discounts. Additionally, by holding a season pass, it is possible that you will also be given discounts on food and merchandise inside the park. Therefore, you can save more compared to buying day tickets.

5. If you see “chips included” in small print under the tag price of an item at a Disney food stand, and you don’t need them, just inform the seller not to include the chips and they will give you back the corresponding amount of the chips.

6. Be at the park gate early so you can enter when it opens without any inconvenience. In this way, you can also easily get first in line with popular rides, which can be quite difficult if you would go there at the middle of the day. The line build up will be very intimidating.

7. Feel free to use the park’s free package check services. This is a secure place to store whatever trinkets and mementoes you have purchased inside the park. It will also free your hands which is important when you are taking the rides.

8. Always observe and follow height and health restrictions. These regulations were designed to give you and your children safety for the rides that you want to take and the sites that you want to see.
